Job Title: Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Part-Time Contract Position)

Reports to: Executive Committee Member responsible for Marketing and Communications

 

The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is a part-time (home-based) contract position responsible for supporting the development and implementation of OASDI’s marketing and communication strategies.

Responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and executing marketing projects and activities as approved by the Executive Member for Marketing and Communications;

• Assisting with the development and maintenance of content for digital media platforms including the OASDI website,  Twitter, YouTube and Facebook;

• Researching, writing, editing content and collecting data for marketing materials and communication tools consistent with OASDI’s goals and objectives;

• Preparing and distributing a quarterly newsletter;

• Responding to inquiries from agents and working with consultants and strategic partners;

• Assisting with the planning of promotional & professional learning activities as required (events, conferences, research, webinars, etc.);

• Acting as the secretariat of the Executive Committee;

• Travelling as required, both within Canada and abroad, for marketing purposes;

• Other projects identified and deemed appropriate by the Executive Committee

• Ability to work additional hours during peak periods as required

 

 

 

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of K-12 education in Ontario, international student enrolment policies/procedures/ marketing an asset

• Post-secondary education relevant to education, marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, tourism and progressive and relevant work experience

• Skilled in the use of digital media platforms & promotions including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube

• Experienced in managing website content

• Proficient in the full suite of Microsoft Office programs - desktop publishing an asset

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to evaluate and proof copy

• Fluency in French, an asset

• Strong communication (public speaking, oral and written), cross cultural and interpersonal skills

• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, analytical and time management skills

• Ability to multi-task and work both independently and collaboratively with limited direct supervision

• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant legislation/regulations

Contract Details:

  • 12-month contract (with the possibility of extension) for 20-25 hours/month commensurate with knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Home-based with the contractor responsible for providing the appropriate office equipment
  • $30/hour
